This was my first time using the new bitcoin ATM. Although it is expensive, and not completely instant, it is one of the fastest ways to convert some cryptocurrency in a pinch. It wouldnt be so bad if their exchange rates were up to date, I have also heard of some better rates on machines in other states. Here in Georgia, I have yet to find an acceptable machine, I do not recommend using the Bitcoin Depot machines.

  1. You should have pulled it out of a pc wallet or phone wallet. Coinbase withdrawal fees are too high. Also on the app if you click more info. It’ll tell you about the machine and possibly who operated it. The ones near me in Oregon only charge about a 4-5% fee plus a $5 flat rate and also says they get their price 5% above krakens current price for selling and 5% below for buying. Might help ya estimate the fees for next time? Anyways good video thanks for the tip on the app, best app I’ve seen so far

    1. Nick Corona ya I’m all in on crypto and think it’s the future but when it comes to buying and selling or just sending your friend some crypto, it can be tedious! When ease of use happens… watch out! Mass adoption here we come! Lol haha

    2. GeoffedUP it pays off on big stuff for example to sell a rig and accept a payment through PayPal or square, when the price is around $3000 you can pay up to $150 in transaction fees, vs like .15 cents to send etherium

  2. I guess ATM is good because you can avoid the tax on it, which can be like 30% fee.. Disgusting how they tax you on something that is pretty much a “gamble”
